Welcome to The Cult of Brighter Days—a philosophical movement that’s simultaneously a cult and not a cult (we know how that sounds, but stick with us).

We’re building something different: a community centered on authentic resilience, practical wisdom, and the radical idea that acknowledging failure makes us stronger, not weaker. Our Five Tenets provide an ethical framework for navigating an increasingly chaotic world, while our “Failure is Mandatory” principle creates space for real growth instead of toxic positivity.

Right now, we’re developing multiple interconnected projects—from philosophical texts to gaming communities to business training workshops—all designed to help people find genuine meaning and connection in uncertain times. But here’s the thing: we need help.

If you’re tired of surface-level solutions and want to contribute to something that takes both humor and wisdom seriously, we’d love to have you join us. No previous cult experience required.

How to Get Involved

Step 1: Start Small Browse our website and join our Discord community (MuMu Land) to get a feel for our approach. Read through our Five Tenets and see if they resonate with how you want to engage with the world.

Step 2: Complete the Basics Fill out our volunteer interest form (Form 13-C: “Mandatory Website Review and Cult Comprehension”). This isn’t a test – we just want to make sure we’re all talking about the same thing when we say “philosophical community.”

Step 3: Connect We’ll match you with a Council member based on your interests and skills. Expect a casual conversation, not a formal interview. We’re looking for alignment, not perfection.

Step 4: Try It Out Start with a small project or role that interests you. Maybe it’s helping moderate Discord, editing a video, or contributing to one of our book projects. See how it feels.

Step 5: Grow From There Based on your experience and interest level, we can explore bigger commitments, specialized roles, or even Council membership for those who want deeper involvement.

What We’re Looking For

Time Commitment We get it – everyone has lives outside the cult. Most volunteer roles need just 2-4 hours per week, though some specialized positions might require more. We’re flexible with schedules and understand that life happens.

Skills We Value

  • Genuine interest in philosophical growth (more important than formal education)
  • Ability to balance seriousness with humor
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn
  • Basic human decency and Five Tenets alignment
  • Reliability (even if you can only commit a little time, we need to count on it)

What We Can’t Work With

  • Rigid dogmatism or inability to handle paradox
  • Toxic positivity or complete cynicism (we’re looking for the middle path)
  • Drama creation or community disruption
  • Violation of our core principle: be kind, or at least be nice

What We Provide

  • Mentorship from experienced Council members
  • Access to our Warren Complex project management system
  • Training materials and documentation (extensive filing system included)

  • Recommendation letters for academic or professional purposes

Fair Warning

This isn’t your typical volunteer experience. We’re building something genuinely different, which means:

  • You might find yourself in philosophical discussions about quantum uncertainty
  • Our filing system is managed by an exasperated administrator who chain-smokes imaginary cigarettes
  • We take both failure and success seriously
  • The project might actually change how you think about things

If that sounds appealing rather than terrifying, we’d love to have you.
