Late-stage capitalism is eating people alive and calling it “convenience.”
The air is poisoned, the rents are carnivorous, and billionaires are out here licking bone marrow off the working class like it’s a tasting menu.
You already know this. Your nervous system knows this.
You feel it every time you open your banking app or stare at your cart going, “How is toilet paper a luxury item now?”
We are not consumers. We are being consumed.
It’s time to stop feeding the beast and start feeding each other.
⸻
This Boycott Isn’t a Protest. It’s a Refusal.
From Thanksgiving to Cyber Monday: don’t buy. Anything.
Not from Target. Not from Amazon. Not from Home Depot.
Not a “deal,” not a “steal,” not a little hit of cardboard-wrapped serotonin you’ll forget about in three days.
Why?
Because every dollar you spend on those platforms is one more string in the hands of people who think you’re replaceable.
Because they bankroll anti-DEI backlash, union busting, and the slow demolition of what’s left of democratic protections.
Because they are betting on your exhaustion, your despair, and your “I’ll just do it this one time.”
So don’t give it to them.
Starve the beast.
Feed your community.

⸻
The Plan (aka: Soft Sweaters, Hard Boundaries)
- Buy nothing from November 27 to December 2 — no Amazon, no Target, no big box.
- If you absolutely have to buy something: spend it at your local shop, your neighbor’s business, your community’s creators.
- If you can’t spend at all — that’s not failure. That’s strategy. That’s starving the machine.
This isn’t about being “ethical consumers.”
This is about being dangerous in pastels.
Because the only language they actually speak is money.
And the only way they listen is when it stops flowing.
⸻
Need Ideas? Start Here.
- Use points, rewards, or gift cards — spend their money, not yours.
- Barter, trade, repair, delay — you do not need more plastic serotonin dusting your shelves.
- Support local — if money has to move, move it sideways, not up.
- Tell someone — text a friend, post a story, drop it in the group chat. Silence is complicity; memes are a weapon.
Bonus level:
Turn your “I’m not shopping” into “I’m resting, plotting, and hyping up small businesses instead.”

Your Wallet is a Weapon (And So Is Your Attention)
They have power because we were trained to give it to them — our money, our data, our time, our doomscroll.
We take it back by not playing.
This holiday?
Don’t shop. Don’t scroll. Don’t spend.
Light a pastel flamethrower under the narrative instead:
- Rest.
- Connect.
- Make something dumb and beautiful with your people.
Pull the plug.
Let them feel the silence.
Let them remember: we are not theirs.
